I was born in Lexington and grew up on the Fayette/Jessamine county line. We were a small business family doing whatever it took to survive. My dad signed a contract to defend Israel as an Army officer on active duty during “Gulf War I” under Four Star General Norman Schwarzkopf Jr. He is a former drill sergeant, and from an early age, my brother and I were taught that work is where money comes from, and we worked hard except on Sundays, when we would attend Southland Christian Church. Growing up in residential construction/remodeling, I was blessed with the opportunity to learn various trade skills. I graduated high school from Lexington Christian Academy and I met my wife, Paige, in the Equine Management Program at Asbury University. We started a horse training, boarding, and lesson business with the goal of training horses and people through equine assisted activities. With a love for Wilmore and background in residential remodeling, we purchased a 110 year old home that desperately needed a complete overhaul and went to work. Around that time, I began regularly attending city council meetings. I was nominated to be on the board of adjustments and, a few years later, offered a spot on the planning commission. I’ve always felt a sense of duty to serve my country and my community, and I would be honored to have your continued support.
